Ashley and Chris have two loves: Rock & Roll, and each other. I feel as though their wedding was a perfect representation of what they are and what each of them brings to the table. From their concert ticket styled 'save-the-dates;' they immediately set the tone for a once in a lifetime, fun, and lively wedding experience. Their use of damask patterns and vibrant reds reflected the exciting passion behind their love. Rather than a guest book to sign, friends and family wished the couple their best on an electric guitar and records. The centerpieces had an oriental feel surrounded by crystals, pearls, and music note confetti. The groomsmen wore all black with a splash of red, while the bridesmaids maintained a 50's style 'pin-up' ambiance mixed with a roaring twenties pulled back updo. All together Ashley and Chris' special day was nothing short of unique, fun, and oh so memorable!
Jennifer & Alex had met a number of years ago on their College Campus. Although they had crossed paths a number of times, it was only on one very special night that Jen paused as she passed by to tell Alex how cute she thought he was. He quickly expressed the same feelings about her and the rest is history!
They went on to have their first date and have been together ever since.
When I first met this fun couple I instantly felt drawn to them. They balanced each other out perfectly and supported each other indefinitely. Jen knew exactly the vision she had for her special day which made all the details seamlessly fall into place. From the calligraphy inscribed name stones at each place setting to the biodegradable confetti which was tossed following their 'I do's,' each and every item had a perfect place and purpose. It was truly such a pleasure it was working with this amazing New Jersey Couple on their Destination Wedding in South Beach.
Eva and Rich were a couple like none other I had ever met. They both had quirky tendencies, a love for adventure, and an undeniable appreciation for fairy tail endings. Having met online and maintaining a long distance relationship for years, their love story was everything but normal. Eva from Long Island, and Rich from England, each shared a common love for 'Winter Wonderland' which they based this entire wedding on. From snow boots, to flannel, every detail was well thought out. With an outdoor ceremony and a snow machine on 'stand-by' this couple's dream came true when moments before the ceremony real snow flakes began to fall from the sky. A truly beautiful and memorable wedding indeed.
Mary & Casey were by far the most relaxed and welcoming couple I had ever met. They were open to ideas, and 'happy go lucky' throughout the entire planning process. Their goal was to keep a simplistic approach when it came to designing their Wedding Space. They loved what the Raleigh Oasis area already had to offer: from greenery all around to bistro lights overhead their goal was not to overwhelm the space, but rather enhance it. Since their Wedding took place over Valentines Weekend, they decided to play on the different shades of pinks to represent their playful, young love. They left little chiffon bags of pink and silver Hershey kisses at each table setting and kept their centerpieces low with candles and succulents to not intimidate their guests but rather encourage conversation. It was a pleasure working with this Bride and Groom on their Wedding! Congrats Mary and Casey!
Austin & Amber's design consisted of nautical blue and white stripes with touches of yellow, rustic lanterns, and lobster tank envelope catchers. A perfect design for these two indeed.
Having met in Middle School they knew of one another but only began dating in High School. They went to both Proms together, Home Coming's and School Dances. They managed long distance through all four years of College and drove back and forth to one another on the Weekends spending whatever free time they had - with each other. The two of them formed such a strong bond so many years ago that nothing could ever come between them. They both love the outdoors, sports, and enjoying life to its fullest. From hiking, to dirt biking, to jumping out of planes; it seems there's never a dull moment when it comes to the two of them. They are both strong individuals who are committed to each other and nurturing what they have together. They trust wholeheartedly and encourage one another to always do their very best. Truly a beautiful couple - inside and out.
Shanna and Alex were such an adorable young couple with the world at their finger tips. Shanna was studying for her CPA License and overwhelmed with the planning of the Wedding so asked me to get involved. They had a simplistic beach theme in mind and their biggest concern was that they remained true to themselves and who they were as individuals on their Wedding Day.
Their Ceremony was scheduled at 5:00 PM on the Beach and with storms brewing overhead we advised them to consider relocating the Ceremony indoors, but they refused. She said her one wish throughout the entire planning process was that they get married on the beach and no matter what the forecast said, they weren't budging on that decision. So, we began the Ceremony on the Beach with thunder roaring in the distance and one of the Groomsmen holding an umbrella over their heads... within minutes it began down pouring! Many of the guests immediately ran back to the covered deck and we did our best to circulate towels. Their Bridal Party, Grandparents, and Parents tried to stay as long as they could with the rain coming down but eventually gave in and ran back to the deck as well. With the wind and rain walloping their skin and swaying their stance, Shanna, Alex, and The Officiant stood their ground. This was a Ceremony I will never forget as they stood together hand in hand starting their marriage on a solid foundation that proved they could withstand any storm the future had to hold.
Frannie and Max's relationship began all the way back in High School! Through College selections and Career paths, they made it through together. Being each others support and encouragement they never let go of what they started years prior. They are two peas in a pod and bring a sparkle to each other's eye. Their choice in colors on their Wedding Day was not only perfect for the 'Spring Season' but also a perfect reflection of the tranquil effect they have on one another. I loved the vintage feel that was intertwined through their design with Frannie's lace dress and lace table overlays. The candles placed at every table was another perfect touch! Weaved in and around the peonies and ivy matching the cursive handwriting on their invitations. A dreamy night for this beautiful couple!
Shams & Andrew were a fun loving, quirky couple that could instantaneously make you laugh just by being around them and by them being themselves. They were both young at heart, seeking adventure in life, and head over heels in love. Shams came from a middle eastern background while Andrew came from a Jewish background. The blending of these two cultures into one was accented throughout their not only their design but their late night belly dancer and hooka festivities. I absolutely loved the blush colors that they used to enhance the already beautiful outdoor oasis space. The pastel pinks, light green ferns, and gold accents complimented each other perfectly. Working with this 'one of a kind' couple was such a great experience full of 'never dull moments.'
